Showers, some heavy for Ireland, these most persistent in the northwest. Highs at 7 to 10C.

<b>Tuesday Night</b><br> Outbreaks of rain in western parts of England, Wales and Scotland tonight. Tending to be drier in the east and south of England. Wetter in Ireland with most of the rain affecting western areas. Further periods of rain in western Scotland too. Lows at 2 to 6C.

<b>Wednesday</b><br> A wet day on Wednesday in Ireland and western Scotland as a front advances slowly eastwards. Further patchy rain in western Wales and southwest England. Elsewhere it should be dry with a fair amount of cloud, a few bright spells in more central and eastern areas. Sunshine in western Ireland and staying dry here. Highs at 8 to 12C.

<b>Thursday</b><br> Fronts continuing to edge slowly east on Thursday. Some cloud and spots of rain in eastern parts of England, these clearing. Windy in Ireland and western Scotland with cloud and some outbreaks of rain here. Brighter and dry for other areas with sunny spells. One or two showers may affect northern England. Highs at 7 to 12C.
