Breezy throughout today. Cloudy through northern and western areas with rain affecting western Scotland as well as most of Ireland. Rain arrives to in southwest England. Most other areas starting the day dry, some bright spells in central and eastern areas. This afternoon sees rain through Scotland as well as eastern Ireland. Further rain for western parts of England and Wales. Stating drier and cloudy in central and eastern areas. Tops at 9 to 12C for most, but colder in western Scotland and Ireland at 4 to 6C.
Wednesday Night
Further rain tonight in much of eastern, central and southern Scotland. Much of northern England and Wales as well as southwest England remain cloudy and damp with more rain and drizzle as well as fog on high ground. Cloudy in eastern and central England, a few spots of drizzle developing on hills. Drier for western Scotland and Ireland with plenty of cloud. Lows at 6 to 8C under cloudier skies, a frost in Ireland and western Scotland at 0C.
Thursday
A weak front edges eastwards on Thursday. Rain in northern England and eastern Scotland, this tending to ease during the morning. Cloud and outbreaks of rain and drizzle for much of central and eastern England as well as eastern Scotland, although this continuing to ease. Cloudy in western areas although dry for most. Some drizzle in southern and western parts of Ireland, windy here too. Temperatures at 8 to 11C for many, but 14C in the southeast.

A wet day for many with fronts north to south through the British Isles. There will be rain, some of it heavy in places, especially in the north and west. A few brighter spells could develop in more southern areas for a brief time. Further rain and cloud in Ireland, this not easing until the evening. A risk of localised flooding in places.
