A changeable start, then more settled later in the month

The forecast pattern indicates that the short term period continues to be mixed, although the medium term shows that conditions will settle later in the month, and on the current pattern, high pressure should then dominate through to the end of May.

Showers or longer spells of rain during the early part of the month, although from mid-May god sunny spells will be predominating. Winds are going to be generally light and variable, but a tendency for a general northeast drift, with high pressure to the north or northwest.
