The Month Ahead
30 Day Outlook

Dominated by high pressure, perhaps more unsettled mid-month.

Our pattern is showing some signs of a "wobble", not in terms of the overall flow, but detail and timing. We shall see as the month progresses whether this deviation is a minor one, or more significant.

The build of pressure that is anticipated over the middle of this period is slightly earlier than previous forecasts, but we don't believe this is the time for a major change in plan, so we expect things to pan out like this :

We may see a recovery of pressure during the coming few days, and this should see the temperature becoming warmer than normal, and will concentrate the wettest weather over Ireland and western parts of the UK. More eastern and central districts should sta y mainly dry.

Mid-month may see some more general disturbed weather across all areas, before another rise in pressure settles things down again.
