The Month Ahead
30 Day Outlook

Cold at first, then normal conditions.

Our thoughts last week were that high pressure would briefly build into the country, perhaps bringing some colder weather. Well, this has indeed happened, although the high is now likely to stick around longer than we anticipated.

The high is probably going to be with us until the 13th or 14th. This then gets nudged away by low pressure in the Atlantic, bringing a return to rain for all places.

We do expect more south eastern parts to be drier at times later in the month, with high pressure perhaps ridging through here. This may extend to eastern England for the beginning of February.

Our confidence in this forecast is medium.
