The Month Ahead
30 Day Outlook

Mixed, periods of high and low pressure.

Our confidence in these 30 day forecasts during the past few weeks has been well-placed. The basic weather details are going according to plan and are within the "limits" of the overall pressure pattern predicted.

Our forecasters still have moderate confidence in the pressure pattern predicted and we haven't changed this forecast much from previous weeks.

As always after a period of high pressure, the difficulty is predicting when te spell of more settled weather will break down.

At the moment we expect this process to be a fragmented one, with incursions of weak weather fronts and low pressure, being followed by a re-establishment of high pressure.

The most active low pressure area, and therefore heaviest rain is expected somewhere between th 19th and 25th of the month.

A note of caution though. We do think that this forecast may become a little more "uncertain" after about the 23rd April, and so we would advise that you check next weeks forecasts for any updates.
