The October Ahead
30 Day Outlook

Unsettled October, fine end

Our forecast pressure pattern during the early part of this forecast period looks zonal in nature. This means weather fronts will be pushing eastwards, keeping the weather unsettled.

Around next weekend we may see a brief change as high pressure tries to build from the west. Confidence is going to be fairly low in the forecast from then onwards.

Our current thoughts are that the disturbed weather returns until around the end of the month, but which time high pressure builds in for a few days.

Gardeners should be aware that with daytime temperatures usually below normal, should skies clear overnight, there could be air or ground frosts.
