Remaining changeable

High pressure looks set to be the dominating factor of the weather throughout the UK and Ireland during the coming 30 days. That is not to say that the high pressure will be over the country, but that it’s position west, or east, is going to be critical in dictating the extent to which low pressure takes control.

There are hints that we should find a few fine days this week, although next weekend conditions may be more unsettled and cool as low pressure drifts down the North Sea.

The changeable conditions may last until mid-month, when high pressure may build east, and then north, briefly bringing a spell of milder conditions.

By the end of the month we look set to enter another unsettled spells, although this may indicate a more substantial change in weather pattern.

By the beginning of June high pressure may be building, with the winds in the south bringing dry and fine conditions for all.
