Drier couple of weeks then unsettled
At the moment our forecast pattern is rather fluid. It is changing at each update and it is difficult to make precise predictions. Exact detail is very difficult to predict at present.
However, what does seem likely, is that high pressure will be close to the British Isles, probably tending to be to the west of Ireland for much of the time. Occasionally the high will send a ridge through the British Isles. The weather will be mainly dry.
Southern parts of England may see some showery rain for a time around the 19th but this probably won't last too long. There will be a spell of drier weather before disturbed weather moves through all areas around 24th.
The unsettled weather continues for the latter stages of August and early September, although right at the very end of the forecast period high pressure may build again bringing sunshine and dry weather.
