Although the southern half of the British Isles may remain quite unsettled through the next few days, there are quite firm indications that conditions across the whole of the country will become much more settled High pressure is expected to become a large and dominant feature and is also expected to be controlling the weather pattern through the latter stages of the month. The central position of the high will crucial in determining the characteristics of the weather across the country. There is expected to be some erosion of this high pressure at times with changeable and often rather windy weather in some districts, this is most likely across the north and west.
Anticyclonic conditions are also expected to be a major feature of the early part of April, although confidence in this is not high at the moment. The early to middle part of April may see a westerly change, with a return to changeable and unsettled weather across all districts. There will be a good deal of dry weather across England and Wales through the latter stages of March into early April, with temperatures above the seasonal average, elsewhere both rainfall and temperatures are expected to be closer to normal.
