High Pressure Dominating

Although our forecast pattern isn't precisely running to plan, we are reluctant to make any major changes to the existing forecast.

High pressure has featured in the patterns, and the indications are that high pressure will continue to feature strongly in the overall pattern throughout the coming period.

During the early stages of the period it is likely to continue to feature as a "blocking high" centred over the near Continent. Southern and central areas of the British Isles will see the greatest of the high pressure influences., with the north and northwest more mixed.

The latter stages of the period are likely to become much more unsettled across the whole of the UK and Ireland, with low pressure in control. Becoming coler in early November.
