The Month Ahead
30 Day Outlook

Mainly unsettled, only brief drier interludes

We are fairly confident at the moment that our forecasts of the past couple of weeks are running to plan.

Generally we believe that the weather is going to be staying largely unsettled during the next 30 days. There will be some transitory ridges of high pressure, these mainly affecting the south east of the country during the early part of the forecast period.

Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England may have gales at times, and these could be severe.

There may be a spell of colder weather towards the weekend of 25th/26th, although confidence in this is fairly low at the moment.
