The Month Ahead
30 Day Outlook

Mainly warm. Periods of thundery rain

Overall we are happy with the way this forecast has performed during the past week.

Our ideas of high pressure generally building to the south of the country through the coming week are being confirmed. More unsettled weather in Scotland and western Ireland with weather fronts brushing periods of drizzle through here.

Over the coming 30 days we do expect high pressure to remain a feature, although this weakening at times, and tending to drift east.

It should be mild in eastern areas, with temperatures nearer normal to the west. Outbreaks of thundery rain are likely at times too.
