Dominated by high pressure. More unsettled end to March

It's always difficult to predict the demise of areas of high pressure, and the one that we have currently through the British Isles in no different.

Our current thoughts are that it will be giving way after next weekend, probably breaking down from the north. All parts of the UK and Ireland may then turn more unsettled to start April.

However, the pressure pat6tern we have experienced through March, usual indicates a return to high pressure conditions during April.

We do not expect this year to be any different, although bear in mind that, although not mentioned in this forecast, there is a small risk of some very unsettled and cold conditions occurring through April.
