Some dry spells in February & March. Wettest in west.
We did mention in this forecast last week the possibility of high pressure being reluctant to clear and dominating the weather through February for longer than we thought.
Well we now think that the high will linger, but probably mainly affecting the west. Weather fronts and low pressure will be trying to move in from the west. This will eventually make it through to all places by the end of the month.
Current indications are that high pressure may try to build in again in the early part of March, perhaps lasting for a god few days.
As in the past few weeks the generally pattern of the weather seems to be quite predictable. It is, unfortunately, the detailed weather conditions that cause problems and you will notice this situation is no different in this weeks forecast, although we h ave managed to be more specific than last week.
