Updated Monday 18th July. Valid Tuesday 19th July 2005 to Wednesday 17th August.
Warmer spells, although generally mixed.
As the hurricane season continues it's early progression on the other side of the Atlantic, we believe that this may well have an effect on the weather of the British Isles and Ireland.
Hurricanes and tropical storms do tend to find their way across the Atlantic, and we expect this year to be no different.
This week will see low pressure close to northern Scotland, bringing cooler conditions for all, and some showers, mainly to the north. By the end of the week the showers should have transferred east.
The end of July is likely to be more unsettled, although it will tend to be northern areas seeing the most of any rain.
Into August conditions will be remaining fairly unsettled for most of us, and again it will be the north and the west that see most of it. By the middle of August there will be hot conditions returning, with a chance of some thundery rain to end the forecast period.
