Mixed, then a better end to the forecast

As each week progresses we are getting closer to our critical prediction period of October. For several weeks we have been hinting that if high pressure builds around 8th October our forecast is running to plan.

Before we get there though September is looking like finishing on a rather unsettled note. Low pressure is going to be dominating, and although there may be some days of fine weather (for example the first few days of this week), the fine weather will not last long.

Rain and cloud will be sweeping eastwards and it may be windy too.

By early October the rain will be continuing although around 8th October high pressure should start to build. This is likely to bring some fine conditions with sunny spells by day and clear skies and frosts overnight. The fair weather staying until the end of the forecast period.
