Mixed end to July, more settled August
Once again the overall pattern tends to remain acceptable through the coming week or so. The exact detail is again proving difficult to predict. Our predictions of the weather detail probably do leave a little to be desired.
During the next forecast period the forecast pattern still shows that the weather will be more unsettled and mixed through many areas.
Low pressure is expected to control the situation over the UK and Ireland, with most of the rain in the north and west.
Towards the end of the period we do expect pressure to build, with the weather possibly settling down for August.
