Chilly start. High pressure building in April
With pressure building to the west and low pressure to the east the immediate outlook is for cool to cold weather to dominate. It will be staying quite unsettled as well during the first week.
As we enter the new month the south of Ireland and the United Kingdom should begin to settle down as pressure rises over the Continent. The north will stay unsettled for a time but mid-April looks more settled everywhere.
High pressure should build in, and although it may break down for a while, it should keep the weather dry for many. It could be fairly mild as well.
