Some fine and settled weather across the south to end June, a rather mixed opening to July, fine and settled weather returning to all areas before mid-month
High pressure is expected to maintain a ridge of high pressure across southern areas of the British Isles for a time, with low pressure affecting more northern areas. Generally unsettled everywhere at first during early July as low pressure tacks across the north of the country. High pressure is expected become the dominant feature during the middle stages of July.
Generally settled over southern England for a time, although the opening days of July is expected to see rather unsettled and cooler weather spreading southeast through all areas. A return to dry, settled and much warmer conditions is expected across all areas during mid-July.
Temperatures generally close to average at first, becoming rather cool for a time especially across the north. Becoming rather warm across the south later.
