Changeable
Our forecast pattern continues to suggest a changeable month ahead. There are nor real periods of fine weather to mention, although no doubt there will be a few pleasant late summer days.
In fact, the short term outlook is extremely autumnal. A deep area of low pressure is expected between I celand and Scotland this week, having the effect of bringing strong winds and heavy rain to many places.
And this sets the scene for the rest of the 30 day forecast period. There will be periods of unsettled weather, many of them brought about by the remnants of tropical depressions crossing the Atlantic. Scotland and Ireland will bear the brunt of these.
Only towards the middle of September may we see a rise in pressure, perhaps signaling that the third week of September may be a little better.
Fingers crossed!
