Fair for a time, but generally unsettled
We are confident that our forecast pattern has been reasonably successful over recent weeks. There have been problems with the detail, but the general pattern has proved correct.
The weather of the coming week is expected to be unsettled. It will be mild for a time, but then becoming cooler and brighter.
The first week of November could see conditions settling down as high pressure builds, and it may be a while before rain pushes back into northern Scotland and the high clears south.
By the 10th all places are expected to be unsettled again. Winds may become strong with periods of rain followed by showers. By the end of the forecast period we do expect all areas to be considerably colder.
