In the short term, high pressure looks as though it will bring a quieter and settled spell of weather to many areas of the British Isles, although the current spell of fine weather is not expected to be protracted. The first half of the Easter Holiday looks generally fine across southern districts of the country, but the prospects for the Easter Bank Monday is for rather changeable conditions everywhere, a westerly change bringing cooler and windier weather through all areas of the country.
High pressure is expected to reestablish to the east of the British Isles with settled and warmer conditions returning across central and eastern districts of England. Low pressure is expected to become a slow moving feature to the west of the British Isles and will keep western and northwestern districts rather more changeable.
Mid to late April will see rather changeable and cool conditions everywhere, although there are indications that high pressure will again build back through the north of the country later. Temperatures are expected to be close to normal or slightly above the seasonal average in most places.
