The October Ahead
30 Day Outlook

High pressure dominates at first. More changeable October.

We are pleased with our forecast pressure pattern again this week. For the past few weeks we have highlighted that high pressure would be a dominating feature, only briefly breaking down and mainly over the north.

Indications are now that after a brief unsettled day for Tuesday, high pressure builds back in from the west this week.

It will be after the 5th October before more unsettled weather returns, and this could reach all parts of the country (including the south)

It is then likely to stay unsettled, mainly in the west and through Ireland, although eastern areas may turn drier again towards the end of the period.
