Unsettled, possibly cold snap next week
The forecast pattern is probably at a turning point. IN the short term we do not expect a collapse in the forecast pattern, although the second week of January looks more suspect.
The current prospects for unsettled and changeable conditions after a relatively mild period over Christmas.
All indications point to an unsettled end to the year, although a colder spell of weather could bring more widespread wintry precipitation early next week.
This won't last long though and will soon clear to the east. As this happens the weather becomes milder with strong winds and rain for much of the first three weeks of January.
