A brief cold snap, then milder
A bitterly cold snap of weather is on the way for this week. Our belief, for some time, has been that mild weather would be returning and that any cold weather was likely to be short lived.
Once again, this weeks forecast backs up this opinion and this does give faith in the rest of the forecast.
As the cold weather clears, milder air will be returning from the south west. Rain will be moving through all parts with strong winds to the west.
Into mid February the winds will become more southerly as high pressure is to the east and low pressure to the west. Rain affecting Ireland, and eventually Scotland. Only light rain in eastern areas. Mild overall.
