The Month Ahead
30 Day Outlook October

Unsettled start to October, then more settled

Our forecast pattern has been performing more consistently during the past few weeks than the forecasts issued by the global computer models. This gives us some confidence in the forecast for the coming weeks.

It is thought that this week will be one split north to south. The north of the country will have outbreaks of rain, whilst the south should be drier.

Things will be turning more unsettled into the beginning of October with a more widespread area of disturbed conditions.

However, from mid-October we think that high pressure is likely to be building back in again and will then be dominating the weather.
