High pressure dominating

The confidence in the overall flow pattern forecast for the next 30 days remains acceptable, although the tendency for confidence to diminish late in the month is still present.

After a brief period of more unsettled weather at the end of March and start of April, most of April remains mainly anticyclonic.

The forecast pattern does indicate that high pressure may well dominate the pattern through much of the month, so there is a tendency for very dry weather, with good sunny spells.

It may be cool at times, especially at first, but a general trend to mild then warmer weather is expected later.
