Whoohoo! There's a good chance for the first real snow in the Grampian Mountains. The Cairngorms are looking best with light to moderate snowfall from Thursday to Friday, but Ben Nevis and Glenshee don"t look bad either. Although, there won"t be hardly more than 10 cm (4 inch) and winter-sports are still questionable. However, if you happen to be around there's still a nice winter walk possible and as the weekend stays cold the snow will last a bit.

Saturday there will be even showers of snow in the South and maybe even in London. But this is not exactly what one would ask for. It's more like a cold and nasty sleet and it won"t survive mid-day.
