What will the weather be on New Year's Eve? Well, there are still three days to go, but it looks very much like there will be a weather change right at this date. Right now it looks as if the cold weather is sticking over the British Isles for the rest of this year. Milder air seems to be on the way for the British Isles eventually triggering heavy rain and breezy winds. Since there is still some cool air around and the grounds are still cold - the rain will start as snow and sleet, especially for inland regions. Wet, cool and windy are not exactly good conditions for fireworks.
However, there is a good chance that the rain will stop before midnight and that the Year 2001 will start windy, but milder and drier.
