Bright for some, cloudy for most
High pressure looks set to stay the dominant feature of the weather over the weekend, and this heralds mainly dry conditions for most of us.
However, we are facing the age old problem of deciding how much cloud there will be. In these situations "plates"of cloud tend to float around the skies, some break, some don't and so what turns into a fine autumnal day for some, may be cloudy and cold for others.
Presently I think that the best of the sunshine on Saturday will probably be over western Wales and southern parts of England. However, you may have to wait a while for the sun to come out, and early on Saturday morning there could be some light outbreaks of drizzle.
For more northern areas thicker cloud seems likely, but the south of Scotland and far north of England may just get away with sunnier conditions.
As for Sunday, well the best of the sunshine is then likely on eastern coasts of England and Scotland. Thicker cloud and rain is forecast for southern Ireland, Wales and southwest England, and we may see mist and fog patches here as well.
Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining!
