Wet on Sunday, mainly in north & west
If your looking forward to doing work outside this weekend, then plan to do it on Saturday, as for most of us this looks set to be the better day.
However, its Sundays weather which forecasters here at the Weatheronline Weather Centre are monitoring with interest.
It seems likely that Sunday morning sees some heavy periods of rain passing through Ireland and the far west of Scotland. This rain may turn thundery at times and will lead to lots of surface water on roads and pavements.
Sunday afternoon sees that rain passing eastwards, becoming heavier in western and southern Scotland, with as much as 15 to 20mm of rain forecast here in just six hours. That heavy rain also affecting western Wales on Sunday afternoon.
Overnight into Monday it will be the turn of northern England and central Wales to be wet, although by then the rain should not be as heavy.
It will be an interesting day weatherwise, and of course Weatheronline will be keeping you fully up-to-date.
