Warm at the weekend, but thundery in the west
After the hot conditions of Wednesday and Thursday, the weather has cooled down over much of the British Isles today.
However, high pressure is still in control and by the weekend, the warm weather may well be returning.
On Saturday the south is likely to be very warm. All parts of the country will be dry, although an increasing southeast wind in the west heralds the arrival of thundery rain on Sunday.
For Sunday heavy bursts of thundery rain may be affecting western areas, these slipping eastwards during the course of the day. However, there is still a degree of uncertainty in the forecast so do check back with Weatheronline for the latest.
Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining.
