Sunny days, frosty nights

I'm pleased to report that high pressure looks set to be the dominant factor in this weeks weather pattern. The reason I'm so pleased is that it is confirmation of our long range 30 day forecast which for some time has been calling for this rise in pressure.

It looks likely that most of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be fine days. Plenty of sunshine for most and the days should be dry.

Overnight clear skies will allow temperatures to fall sharply, and under these clear skies a ground frost may form. There could even be a touch of air frost in more rural areas.

The fine weather is likely to last until the end of the week, by which time a band of rain may be edging into the west. However, my confidence in the arrival of this rain is low and I wouldn't be surprised if on Ireland and western Scotland received any appreciable rainfall from it. I'll keep my eye on it and update you through the week.

Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining!
Simon
