Torrential downpours possible on Sunday

For the majority of the British Isles Sunday is going to be a very warm, sunny and fine day, although feeling increasingly humid.

As so often happens, this warm weather will be short lived as thunderstorms break out in the west. From the morning rain will be through southwest England, some of it turning heavier as the morning progresses.

However, it will be the afternoon before some local torrential downpours get going. The thundery rain probably reaching eastern Wales and England, as far east as Wiltshire by the evening. For many the rain will be light, but local downpours are possible anywhere wintin the area.

Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining.
