Wrap up for the weekend

I think I have finally got a grip on what the weather is up too!

High pressure will build through Scandinavia during the next few days and coupled with low pressure west of Iberia, easterly winds will be blowing through the country, lowering temperatures and bringing a sharp snap of winter this weekend.

Many areas, especially central and eastern parts of England may have some snow flurries on and off throughout Friday and Saturday, although we have to watch for the risk of more prolonged snow over some parts of southwest England on Sunday.

My thoughts at the moment are that the cold weather will be short lived, although I think it will return.

Our 30 day forecast still stands in calling for a week or so of milder weather before the cold comes back from mid-January.

I'll keep you updated over the coming days but for the time being, keep the sunshine shining!
