Bonfire Dampner

If your planning your bonfire and fireworks party this weekend, it doesn't look great I'm afraid.

Low pressure is in control of the weather and this will bring some very wet conditions to much of Wales, England and Scotland during the course of Saturday afternoon and evening. There could be local flooding in places with the winds increasing to near gale force.

It's not much better on Sunday either. Strong winds and heavy rain through much of Wales, the Midlands and eastern England brings a further risk of flooding. The rain clears the Midlands and southwest in the evening, although it will linger in the southeast.

For Scotland and Ireland as well as west Wales expect showers, heavy at times, with stronger winds.

Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining!
