A cool weekend ahead

It’s going to be a frustrating weekend…at least for weather forecasters.

High pressure is going to be to the west of Ireland, with low pressure over Scandinavia. This bringing a northwesterly flow through the British Isles and Ireland. There will be rain in the morning for southern England, with showers elsewhere, and feeling cool.

So why will it be frustrating? Well, that’s because of the cloud amounts that will be moving in on the northwest flow. It’s always difficult to tell where the cloud is going to break, and this weekend will be no exception.

At present, Sunday seems likely to bring the best possibility of some sunshine for most. I think the best of the sunshine always to the lee of high ground over the UK.

Southern and western Ireland will have the best of the sunshine on Sunday and you can see the latest sunshine predictions from Weatheronline by clicking here.

Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining.
