Turning Icy then More Snow
Snow has been falling through the Midlands and parts of southern England this morning. As I type it's moving into Wales and will bring a few centimetres of lying snow to some places.
As the snow fades away from Wales and southwest England this evening, temperatures are going to be falling sharply. The result of this will be to bring an icy night as temperatures dip below freezing. If you are planning on traveling do take care.
Sunday is causing a few forecasting problems as well. With low temperatures still very much in evidence, we more sleety showers will be forming through central southern, southwestern England, Wales and arts of the southern Midlands. As this becomes heavier it may well turn to snow giving a further fall of several centimetres, especially over higher ground.
Probably best to get set for a wintry night ahead of southern England, and again through the day tomorrow.
Keep the sunshine shining!
Simon
