Warm in the southeast
Don’t expect too much sunshine during this weekend. Although high pressure is going to be close by, centred to the south of Ireland, the brisk west to southwest wind will be bringing some very moist and mild air from the Azores, through the British Isles and Ireland.
Low pressure will be over Iceland, with that west to southwest flow being squeezed between the two pressure systems.
Saturday is likely to bring rain across Scotland and the west of Ireland, perhaps with some more widespread patchy drizzle in the morning over other areas. The far southeast of England should have a brighter day, and in the sunshine it may be feeling quite warm.
Sunday brings heavier and more persistent rain across Northern Ireland and Scotland, with a risk of gales in the north as well. More southern areas will be cloudy, although to the lee of the Welsh mountains, and once again southeast England, may see brighter periods in the afternoon. There is an increasing risk of western coasts having low cloud, mist and fog patches at times.
Little change through northern areas next week, although with high pressure establishing to the south, much of the southern half of the UK and eastern Ireland may well be in for some warm, dry days with good spells of sunshine.
As always, Weatheronline will keep you up-to-date throughout..
Whatever the weather keep the sun shining!
