Gales in western Scotland on Sunday
As todays weakening cold front moves eastwards, I'm watching a developing low in the Atlantic, which will sweep northeast to be west of Scotland on Sunday.
This feature is expected to be a deep one, and will be bringing winds to gale force through much of western Scotland, and with gusts to 60 or 70mph there could be damage caused to trees.
Strong winds through Sunday too for Northern Ireland, although gales restricted to the northern coasts.
For the rest of the UK and Ireland the weather does not look bad. There may be some morning mist patches, but generally the day will be fine with some pleasant spells of sunshine.
Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining!
