Drier east but rain in the west

A brezy few days ahead for all parts of the United Kingdom and Ireland. The strongest of the winds will always be across Scotland and Ireland, although on Wednesday strong winds will extend to the far south of England. Tuesday sees rain affecting most of the country.

From mid-week most of the rain will be affecting western and northern areas, although fronts will be slipping eastwards.

However, with high pressure controlling thee situation in the east and south, any rain that reaches here is expected to be mainly light and patchy.

There is a hint that next weekend may see a more significant area of low pressure forming west of Ireland. This could bring heavy rain and strong winds through the weekend and early part of the week, although my confidence in this is relatively low at the moment.

After this I have a feeling the weather could be turning chillier once again, although perhaps not as cold as the past few days.

Keep the sunshine shining!

Simon
