Rain, but also some sunshine, for the weekend

Low pressure looks set to make a brief appearance during this weekend. After some uncertainty earlier in the week, my ideas for the weekend weather are now becoming more coherent.

At present low pressure looks set to pass southeast across Scotland on Saturday. This is likely to bring plenty of cloud and some periods of rain to England and Wales, most of it across central Scotland, northern England and the west and north of Wales.

The low responsible should clear into the Low Countries during Sunday, with a more northerly wind following and high pressure building southwest of Ireland. The result will be brighter skies for many, best in the west, whilst eastern coastal areas will have showers.

As lways, Weatheronline will keep you updated with the weekend forecast, and if you need more information why not call our forecasters on the number above?

Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining.
