You'll need the suncream (oh, and an umbrella)
It's been a scorching weekend over much of the British Isles. Temperatures into the 30's, and today looks set to be even hotter.
It seems that the high pressure we have over the country just now is going to be hanging around for a good few days. That means more sunshine for most and some hot temperatures, especially in the south.
The exception will be Scotland, where rain on the west and north coasts may become more persistent.
As the week progresses we'll find cooler air moving into Scotland and Ireland, with this then forecast to spill through the rest of the country by the weekend.
However, before we get there we may see some storm triggered over the south of the UK, due to sea breezes and the high temperatures. Favoured spots today for isolated downpours are the western Midlands, Welsh Mountain, southwest and Pennines.
