A colder weekend

A colder spell of weather seems likely during the coming weekend. Low pressure is set to be just northeast of Shetland on Saturday, forcing those cold winds southwards.

There will be rain and wind as well, with the strongest of the winds across Scotland where there may well be some gales.

Further south it should be drier with sunny spells, especially the Midlands and southeast England.

Chilly again for Sunday, but it should be warming up in the north.
