Getting low and disturbed

Politicians on the election trail will be getting wet on Thursday, almost wherever they choose go in the United Kingdom.

Low pressure will be centred through the Midlands bringing disturbed conditions for all. The most persistent of the rain across western Wales, eastern Ireland, northern England and southern Scotland.

Over the Midlands and southern England showers are going to be forming in the afternoon, and it looks as if these may become heavy and thundery in places. There is a risk of hail.

Ireland and southern Scotland are likely to become windy.

On Friday England and most of Wales will be staying unsettled. More cloud, rain and showers, and these are again expected to be heavy and thundery. The heaviest of the showers in southeast England. A better day through Ireland and Scotland with sunny spells.

Some good news for the weekend as a ridge of high pressure builds in for Saturday. , Although southeast England may have cloud and a few showers in the morning, but these clearing,. Weve then got a windy of 12 to 18 hours where fine conditions may prevail over England, Wales and Scotland as well as Northern Ireland.

Its all change for Sunday though as strong winds and rain spread through Ireland, Wales and the west of England.

So, its a damp campaign trail, perhaps they should introduce a pledge of free umbrellas for all!

Whatever the weather keep the sun shining!
