Bright for some Saturday, wet on Sunday
A mixed weekend ahead, with a weak ridge of high pressure building on Saturday, followed by a developing area of low pressure pushing fronts eastwards on Sunday.
For many areas it will be a cloud and damp morning on Saturday, especially in northern England and Scotland. I think that this rain should clear, although these areas always seeing a fair amount of cloud through the day.
The cloud through central and southern parts of England should break in the morning too, probably bringing a fair afternoon on Saturday, although isolated showers forming in the east.
Much brighter weather in the west of Wales and Ireland with good spells of sunshine to come here. Staying dry in these places during the day.
Its a different kettle of fish through Sunday. Fronts sweep in from the west bringing rain. That rain heavy at times over western facing coasts and hills, the rain through the Midlands, Scotland and northern England in the afternoon. Brightr weather may briefly move into Ireland, although heavier showers return from the west for the afternoon. BY evening it should become brighter in western Scotland.
And that takes us into a fairly unsettled start to the new week. Eastern coastal areas will be cloudy with periods of rain and will be cold. Further west it should be brighter with sunny spells and showers, but drier in western Ireland.
Whatever the weather keep the sun shining!
