"Fore" days of sunshine?

The Open Golf Championship is underway at St Andrews golf course in southeast Scotland today (Thursday), and here's Weatheronline's looks ahead to the weekends golfing weather.

Indications are that today is likely to be fairly cloudy and damp. There will be some showery bursts of rain as a cold front moves southwards through the area.

However, the good news is that things should improve for Friday with a much brighter day. There will be plenty of sunshine and it is going to be feeling fresher. It should be dry on Friday too.

Saturday also looks set to be fine with plenty of sunshine, although by the final day, Sunday, we may see more in the way of cloud, although it should be staying dry.

Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining!
