Wet in the North and West
The Weatheronline Weather Centre has, for some days now, been advising that the weather would be turning much warmer this week. We also highlighted the potential for heavy rain across western hills.
Indications at the moment are that on Wednesday morning, heavy periods of rain will be crossing southwest England and southern parts of Wales. There is a risk of 12 to 15mm of rain, which could cause local flooding in a few places.
During the course of Thursday a further area of rain is expected to pass northwards through Ireland and into northwest England and western Scotland. This does have the potential to bring some heavy periods of rain, with western and Northern Ireland, northwest England and the west of Scotland all at risk of flooding.
At the moment we are not sure exactly how much rain there will be and how widespread the flooding risk is. However, Weatheronline will be keeping you informed.
