Breaking cloud on Saturday, wet on Sunday
As the weekend I’d like to be able to tell you that it will be dry and sunny. However, once again this weekend, I can’t!
Having said that it probably won’t be too bad. Saturday is certainly looking like being the best of the days overall, with much of England and Wales finding cloud breaking and some sunny spells coming through. There’s a risk of heavy shower forming here and there, but overall many places will be dry.
The cloud more reluctant to clear from the western coasts of Wales and southern Scotland, and it’s here where we might find drizzle and rain through the morning, although the afternoon should be brighter.
It’s Sunday when conditions seem to go downhill. Rain, cloud and stronger winds will be spreading into Ireland as a new area of low pressure forms just west of Ireland overnight into Monday.
Rain and cloud spreading eastwards to be through many western areas by the afternoon. Tbe rain not reaching eastern counties until evening, and so if you are in southeast England this could lead to a warm day here with sunny spells, although the cloud increasing later.
The low pressure area then brings a mixed start to next week, but keep your fingers crossed because there is a hint of an improvement towards the end of the week as pressure builds to the north of Scotland. Of course, we will keep you informed!
Whatever the weather keep the sun shining!
Simon
